Our Strong Roots with Holy Trinity Church

Our village church is at the centre of our community and, as a church-controlled school, we are very fortunate to have such strong, positive and friendly links with Holy Trinity Church.

Our friendly vicar, Rev. Sue Wharton, often pops into school to talk to the children and staff, and we are also very lucky to have two church representatives on our Governing Body who are regular visitors to school.

We enjoy our services at the church each term, where the children’s voices resound around the church singing the songs they have been learning with Mrs Bishop.

Other highlights in the calendar are the Harvest Festival in October, the Christingle service in December where the children light their candles, our Easter service and our very moving Leavers’ Service to end the year. The children also often visit the church throughout the year, to make their RE lessons even more relevant, right here in the village and a short walk from our school.

Part of a Stronger Family: The Horsham Schools Partnership

As a member of the Horsham Schools Partnership (HSP) we at Holy Trinity School are part of something much greater than ourselves. The HSP is a lively, inclusive and innovative group of 18 schools from nursery to secondary located in East Horsham.

When our school works in partnership with others in the HSP, we are providing great opportunities for our pupils and staff across the age range. It’s a team effort and it’s great to be part of a partnership where 100% of the schools are judged to be “Good” or better. Great teamwork is what ensures that we act in the best interests of every child and young person in our area.

We share a commitment to supporting well-rounded, responsible citizens. By setting high standards of education, helping to build those skills our communities need and supporting every pupil to reach their potential, the HSP is already making a real difference. What’s more, our teachers and staff have the benefit of the wider network too. It’s easier to share knowledge and ideas and there are great opportunities for career development. It’s all about growing together.
