Our Exciting Whole School Enrichment Weeks
We love our whole school project weeks! They provide an excellent opportunity for the children to work collaboratively and participate in a range of engaging workshops led by outside experts. We always try to utilise the school grounds and whenever possible take our learning outside.
This year for Green Science Week the whole school enjoyed a brilliant day trip to Leonardslee Gardens. We walked there as a school, through the woods. We started the week with an inspirational workshop with Ali Khan from Stem Innovations and we ended the week with an outside day of workshops all focusing on Biodiversity from Sussex Green Living. The day included planting in our vegetable plots, learning about the important role of fungi in the outdoors and even a dance workshop focused on ecosystems. We held an assembly at the end of the week for the parents to celebrate the week and our learning. The children also had "Green Challenges" for their half-term holiday.
The children and our whole school community are so passionate about caring for our natural environment. The children also took part in the Wastebusters Planet Protector Challenges during the week.
