Willow Dome Workshop

While Eagles class were researching how to improve biodiversity in our school grounds, the children came across living willow structure workshops and decided they would like to create a living willow structure.  They found out willow provides pollen in very early spring, as bees begin to forage for food, and therefore plays a part in sustaining healthy bee populations.  It also provides a habitat and food for many insects.  This was a project the whole school got involved in.  Ganesh and Elaine from Creative Willow taught us all about willow and helped us create this impressive structure which will change throughout the seasons.
